Kim, sometimes referred to as “Unconventional” for her creative tactics to generate transparency and encourage self-development or as the “People Whisperer” for her street-savvy style of coaching that brings out the best in people. Kim founded Santa Paysitforward, a non-profit committed to giving back to elderly without family and in need. Kim grew up in a single parent household where her Grandmother helped raise her. This special bond inspired Kim to give back to the generation who made us who we are today. She adopted her first Senior in 2009 and as of 2015, Santa Paysitforward adopted 528 Seniors throughout Maryland and Virginia. She contributes the success of Santa Paysitforward to implementing the Scrum framework and agile principles at the organization.
Kim is currently serving as Co-Chair for Scrum Alliance’s Global Gathering 2017. She has over 8 years of Agile experience and 15 years’ experience in IT project planning, implementation, and execution. She is skilled in building interaction and collaboration among organizations to drive change, support key business objectives, and maximize value creation across enterprise environments. She has experience in creating a shared vision among the enterprise and build a strong, united leadership to empower organizations to achieve a successful Agile transformation. She is a Certified Scrum Professional and an active participant in the Scrum Alliance Community.

Dave Prior is an Agile Consultant for LeadingAgile. He provides training and consulting for individuals, teams and organizations who are transitioning to Agile. Dave has over 20 years of experience managing IT and Technology projects, programs and portfolios and has been working with Agile methodologies since 1999. Because of his experience working with traditional project management and the challenges he faced in transitioning to Agile, Dave’s work is focused on establishing a better bridge between Agile and the traditional project management worlds. In 2008, during his time as Chair of PMI’s IT & Telecom SIG, Dave began working with the Scrum Alliance to establish programming designed to enable traditional project managers become more aware of and educated about Scrum and Agile. He also participated in the founding of the Malaysian Scrum Chapter in 2010.
Dave is an active volunteer for the Scrum Alliance and he also writes and creates podcasts for Projects at Work and Project Management.com.
In addition to his work leading technology programs and projects, Dave also has extensive experience training Information Technology leaders and coaching organizations in managing projects using both an Agile and a traditional approach. My whole career has been in the software industry; I began writing code right out of college, in the ‘80s. What excites me the most about software—what has always fascinated me about technology in general— is what it can do to help people. To that end, I serve today as President of the Humanitarian Toolbox, a 501-c-3 nonprofit leveraging Open Source software to help global relief organizations become more effective.
After working for eight years as an independent consultant, I co-founded a software consulting firm in 1999, SRT Solutions, serving in a hybrid role as CTO and de facto “Development Mentor”. The company earned a fast reputation for developing high quality software, winning numerous industry awards and inclusion, twice, in the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies. I sold the firm in 2013, and am happy to be working again as an independent consultant with a reinvigorated passion for helping companies build and grow high performance development teams, while evangelizing the need to write better code.
